§ 14270 Polling Place Procedures

This law says that voting at places covered by this division must follow the same rules as voting at any other polling place, unless this article says something different.

Key Takeaways

  • •Voting rules at these polls must match the rules at regular polls.
  • •The only time they can be different is if this article says otherwise.
  • •The rule applies to any polling place that falls under this division.

Example

A town sets up a temporary voting site in a school gym for an election.

The school gym has to run the voting the same way a regular town hall does—same ballot handling, same voting booths—unless this article specifically gives a different rule for that temporary site.
