§ 87008 Probation Dismissal Hearing Rights

Key Takeaways

  • •If you finish probation and your case is dismissed, it doesn’t automatically help you in all situations.
  • •You can still ask for a hearing even if you have a past crime, if you got a ‘certificate of rehabilitation’ and finished probation.
  • •The law makes sure people who fixed their mistakes get a fair chance.

Example

Someone got in trouble years ago but finished probation and got their case dismissed. Now they want a job that needs a hearing.

Even with a past crime, they can still ask for the hearing if they got a ‘certificate of rehabilitation’ and did everything the court asked.
