§ 7003 Retired Personnel Benefits Protection

Key Takeaways

  • •This law doesn't mess with old rules or contracts for retired workers.
  • •It doesn't take away any benefits from a big federal law called COBRA.
  • •It doesn't force anyone to give life insurance or vision care.

Example

If a retired teacher had a health plan before this law, they keep it.

This law doesn't change old rules, so their old plan stays the same.
