§ 46606 Regional Program Admission Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •Kids from outside the area can go to special job-training schools if they want.
  • •The school gets money from the state for each kid who comes from outside the area.
  • •The school uses its own money rules for kids who come from other places.
  • •The school doesn’t get extra money from the state to pay for buses or rides for these kids.

Example

A student from City A wants to learn auto repair at a special school in City B.

The school in City B can let the student join, and the state will give money to City B’s school for teaching that student. But City B’s school won’t get extra money to pay for the student’s bus ride.
