§ 41322 Trustee Personnel Commission Powers

Key Takeaways

  • •If a school district is in big trouble, a trustee can be put in charge. They can stop or cancel decisions made by the school's hiring group.
  • •If an administrator is put in charge instead, they must pause all decisions made by the school's hiring group.
  • •This only happens if the school district already has a hiring group.

Example

A school district is struggling with money and hiring too many people it can't afford. The state steps in and appoints a trustee to fix things.

The trustee can stop or undo any hiring decisions made by the school's hiring group to help save money and get things back on track.
