§ 19423 Library Trustee Term Staggering

The first board of library trustees appointed or elected in a district shall at their first meeting so classify themselves by lot that their terms shall expire: (a) For three-member boards, one on the last Friday in November of the first odd-numbered calendar year next succeeding his or her appointment or election, and two on the last Friday in November of the second succeeding odd-numbered calendar year. (b) For five-member boards, two on the last Friday in November of the first odd-numbered calendar year next succeeding his or her appointment or election, and three on the last Friday in November of the second succeeding odd-numbered calendar year.
