§ 17483 Transfer Validity Protection

Key Takeaways

  • •If you don't follow the rules in this law, it doesn't mean your property sale is fake or invalid.
  • •If you buy a house or land, and the seller didn't follow some rules, you still own the property.
  • •This law protects people who buy property in good faith, even if the seller made a mistake.

Example

You buy a house, and later find out the seller forgot to fill out some paperwork required by this law.

You still own the house. The seller's mistake doesn't cancel your purchase.
