§ 17256 School Facility Design Flexibility

Key Takeaways

  • •Schools can have more freedom in how they design their buildings.
  • •The rules for building schools should match the laws from 2015.
  • •The state will check and approve these new rules.

Example

The school can ask for special permission to design the classroom this way, as long as it follows the old rules from 2015. The state will then decide if it’s okay.
