• •If you're owed money for work on a project, you can still ask the main contractor or their insurance for the money even after some has been paid out.
• •This rule doesn’t take away your right to get the full amount you’re owed.
• •You can take legal action if the main contractor or their insurance doesn’t pay you the rest of what you’re owed.

Imagine you helped build a house and the main builder paid you some of the money but not all of it.

This law says you can still ask the main builder or their insurance company for the rest of the money you’re owed. If they don’t pay, you can take them to court to get what’s left.
