§ 4325 Prescription Blank Fraud Prohibition

Key Takeaways

  • •Only doctors, dentists, vets, and pharmacists (or their helpers) can make or have prescription pads with their names on them.
  • •If you make, copy, or have a fake prescription pad with a doctor's name on it, you're breaking the law.
  • •This is a small crime (misdemeanor), not a big one, but you can still get in trouble.

Example

Someone prints fake prescription pads with a doctor's name to get painkillers.

This is illegal because only real doctors or their helpers can have or make these pads. The person could be arrested for a misdemeanor.
