§ 4191 Clinic Drug Distribution Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •Clinics must follow all health and safety rules before getting a license to give out medicine.
  • •The clinic must have strict plans for storing, giving out, and keeping track of medicine to keep people safe.
  • •Only doctors, pharmacists, or other allowed professionals can give out medicine in the clinic.
  • •The clinic must always follow the rules when giving out medicine.

Example

A clinic wants to give out medicine to patients.

Before the clinic can do this, it must follow all the rules about storing medicine safely, keeping records, and making sure only the right people (like doctors or pharmacists) give out the medicine. If they don’t follow these rules, they won’t get a license, and they could be in trouble.
