§ 25005 Licensee Violation Liability

Key Takeaways

  • •If you work for a company with a license and help break the rules on purpose, you're in trouble too.
  • •This includes bosses, workers, or anyone helping the company do something wrong.
  • •You can't say 'I was just following orders'—if you know it's wrong and do it anyway, you're guilty.

Example

A store manager tells a cashier to sell beer cheaper than the price posted on the sign.

If the cashier knows it's against the rules but does it anyway, both the manager and the cashier can get in trouble, just like the store owner.
