§ 21501 Secondhand Watch Definition

Key Takeaways

  • •A 'secondhand watch' is one that has been sold to someone before.
  • •If a watch's serial numbers or marks are messed with (like scratched off or covered), it's also considered secondhand.
  • •This rule helps tell the difference between new and used watches.

Example

You buy a watch from a friend who no longer wants it.

This watch is now a 'secondhand watch' because it was sold to your friend first.
