§ 675 Juvenile Court Hearing Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •Cases about kids in court are handled in special sessions where only those cases are heard.
  • •Only the kid's family or guardians can be in the courtroom, unless someone is there to testify.
  • •If there are cases about more than one kid, they can be combined or separated like in regular criminal court.

Example

A 15-year-old and a 16-year-old get into trouble together and have to go to court.

Their cases might be heard at the same time, just like in regular court. But only their parents or guardians can be in the courtroom unless someone is there to tell what happened.
