§ 5805 County Mental Health Funding

Key Takeaways

  • •The state tells counties to use money for mental health services for certain people.
  • •The money must be used for a full set of services like treatment and support.
  • •This rule will stop working on July 1, 2026, and go away completely on January 1, 2027.

Example

A county gets money from the state to help people with mental health problems.

The county must use this money to offer different kinds of help, like therapy or housing support, for those who need it. But this rule won’t last forever—it will end in a few years.
