§ 5770 Emergency Health Service Authority

Key Takeaways

  • •The state can give or arrange important health services if it's needed to keep people safe or healthy.
  • •They can work with other groups, like hospitals or private companies, to do this.
  • •This can happen even if other laws say something different.

Example

A big flu outbreak happens in a small town, and the local hospital can't handle all the sick people.

The state can step in and set up extra clinics or work with private doctors to help everyone get the care they need, even if normal rules would slow this down.
