§ 5403 Mental Health Regulation Exemption

• •From July 1, 1991, to June 30, 1993, the rules made by the department did not need approval from the California Conference of Local Mental Health Directors.
• •The department had to report to the Legislature by September 30, 1992, about how this change affected the timing of making rules.
• •The department still had to work with the conference when making rules that affect local mental health programs.

The department wants to make a new rule about how local mental health programs should help people.

Between 1991 and 1993, the department could make this rule without getting approval from the California Conference of Local Mental Health Directors. But they still had to talk to the conference and include them in making the rule.
