§ 1754 Youth Authority Board Limitations

Key Takeaways

  • •The Youth Authority Board can't boss around other places or groups that already exist.
  • •Other places don't have to do things that don't match their own rules or jobs.
  • •The board can't force private places to help them without asking first.
  • •The board can't pay private places for work that public places can already do.

Example

A local school has its own rules for how to teach kids.

The Youth Authority Board can't tell the school to change its rules or make the school do things their way. The school can keep doing what it's already doing.
