§ 8877 Delinquent Sale Postponement

Key Takeaways

  • •The county can delay selling things that haven't been paid for (like unpaid taxes on property).
  • •They can only delay it between 10 to 30 days.
  • •They have to put up a written notice where the sale was supposed to happen.

Example

If someone doesn't pay their property taxes, the county might sell their land to get the money.

But if the county needs more time, they can wait 10 to 30 extra days to sell it. They have to put a sign where the sale was going to happen to tell everyone about the delay.
