§ 8842 Land Assessment Map Reference

Key Takeaways

  • •The government can use maps to describe land when charging fees.
  • •Instead of writing a long description, they can just point to a number on a map.
  • •This makes it easier to talk about pieces of land.

Example

If the government wants to charge a fee for a piece of land, like a park or a farm.

Instead of saying 'the land near the big tree by the river,' they can just say 'look at map 123, number 45.'
