§ 8824 Assessment Objection Filing

Key Takeaways

  • •If you own land and don't like a charge or fee put on it, you can say no.
  • •You have to write down why you don't like the charge.
  • •You can give this to the board or any member before or during the meeting about it.

Example

Your city says you have to pay $100 extra because they fixed the sidewalk near your house.

If you think the $100 is too much or unfair, you can write a note saying why and give it to the city board before or during their meeting about the fee.
