§ 8822 Assessment Objection Hearings

• •The board must set a meeting time and place to hear complaints about property assessments.
• •This meeting must happen at least 60 days after the assessment list is given to the county treasurer.
• •The meeting must be in the same county where the assessed land is located.

You get a letter saying your home’s value for taxes went up a lot, and you think it’s wrong.

The board has to hold a meeting in your county at least 60 days after they sent out the new values. You can go to this meeting and tell them why you think your home’s value is too high.
