§ 8642 Levee Construction Approval

Key Takeaways

  • •If you build a levee or do work after the board tells you to, and you follow their plans, it’s like you got their permission.
  • •The board must give you notice and approve the plans first.
  • •This rule is part of a bigger set of rules about water and land.

Example

A farmer gets a letter from the board saying, 'Build a levee here to stop floods, and here’s how to do it.'

If the farmer builds the levee exactly how the board said, then it’s like the board gave them permission, and they won’t get in trouble.
