§ 8550 Board Independence And Authority

Key Takeaways

  • •The board stays in charge and keeps all its powers.
  • •The board makes its own decisions, and no one else can change them.
  • •The board took over the old board's jobs and money starting in 2008.

Example

Imagine a school club that runs the garden. The principal can't tell the club what to do—they make their own rules.

Just like the club, this board runs things its own way, and no one else can boss them around.
