§ 6250 Dam Approval Requirements

• •If you own a dam that was built before August 14, 1929, you must ask the government to approve it.
• •You have to do this right after the law starts.
• •This rule doesn’t apply if you already asked for approval before.

A farmer has an old dam on their land that was built in 1920.

The farmer must fill out an application to get the dam approved by the government as soon as the law takes effect.
