§ 4335 Service Area Association Exemption

Key Takeaways

  • •If all property owners in a new service area agree and sign a written deal, they can file it with the government.
  • •If they do this, the government doesn’t have to file extra papers about the service area with the county.
  • •This makes things simpler if everyone agrees from the start.

Example

A group of neighbors wants to create a special area for shared services like trash pickup.

If all the neighbors sign a written agreement and file it, the government doesn’t have to file extra papers about the area with the county. This saves time and paperwork.
