§ 301 Artesian Well Water Waste

• •You can't let water from an artesian well just run into rivers, ponds, or the ocean unless you use it for watering plants or drinking.
• •You can't let the water flow onto streets, roads, or highways.
• •You can't let the water run onto someone else's land or public land unless you use it for watering plants, drinking, or raising fish.

A farmer has an artesian well on their property and lets the water run into a nearby river without using it for anything.

This is not allowed because the water is not being used for watering plants or drinking. The farmer could get in trouble for wasting the water.
