§ 2780 Claimant Intervention Rights

• •If you didn't know about a court case before a decision was made, you can still join in later.
• •You have to join at least 10 days before the court hearing or get extra time from the court.
• •To join, you must file a paper saying why you disagree with the decision and prove your claim.

Imagine your neighbor's house got sold by the court because they owed money, but you didn't know about it. You think you should get some of that money because they owed you too.

You can tell the court you didn't know about the case and ask to join. You have to do this at least 10 days before the next hearing. You'll need to write down why you think the court's decision is wrong and show proof that you're owed money.
