§ 2555 Water User Claim Process

• •If you use water but weren't there when the water board did their check, you still get a chance to say how much water you use.
• •You'll get a paper with the board's findings and a form to fill out.
• •You can send in your water use info even if you missed the first meeting.

A farmer was away when the water board visited his land to check water use. He didn’t know about the meeting and didn’t fill out any forms beforehand.

The water board must send him a letter with their findings and a form to fill out. He can still tell them how much water he uses for his crops, just like the farmers who were there during the check.
