§ 22254 Water Distribution Apportionment

Key Takeaways

  • •If a water district sells water to a mutual water company, they have to share it fairly.
  • •The water district's board decides what's fair for everyone involved.
  • •The goal is to make sure all people get a good deal.

Example

A big water district sells water to a small mutual water company that supplies a neighborhood.

The water district can't just give all the water to one part of the neighborhood. They have to split it up so everyone gets enough, and the small company can still do its job.
