§ 2016 Board Report Filing Notice

Key Takeaways

  • •The board looks at any complaints or objections people have.
  • •If they think it's needed, they hold a meeting to talk about it.
  • •After looking at everything, they write a report and send it to the court.
  • •They also mail a copy of the report to the people involved or their lawyers.

Example

Imagine your neighbor builds a fence that you think is on your land. You complain to the local board.

The board will look at your complaint and might hold a meeting to hear both sides. After that, they'll write a report about what they decided and send it to the court. You and your neighbor will also get a copy of this report in the mail.
