§ 25802 Logging Vehicle Exemptions

This law says that certain rules about vehicles don't apply to logging trucks or other special vehicles that aren't made for carrying people or things and are rarely driven on regular roads.

Key Takeaways

  • •Logging trucks and some other special vehicles don't have to follow all the normal car rules.
  • •These vehicles are only used sometimes on regular roads and aren't for carrying people or things like normal cars.
  • •Even though many rules don't apply, these vehicles still have to follow some important safety and registration rules.

Example

A big logging truck that only drives on special forest roads to carry logs.

This truck doesn't have to follow all the usual car rules because it's not used like a normal car or truck.
