This law says people under 21 can't drive with alcohol in the car or have alcohol in the car unless they're with a parent, guardian, or working for a place that sells alcohol. If they break this rule, they can get in big trouble.

Key Takeaways

  • •If you're under 21, you can't drive with alcohol in the car unless you're with a parent, guardian, or working for a store that sells alcohol.
  • •If you're under 21, you can't have alcohol in the car unless you're with a parent, guardian, or working for a store that sells alcohol.
  • •If you break this rule, you can get a fine up to $1,000, go to jail for up to 6 months, or both.
  • •If the car is yours and you break this rule, the police can take your car away for up to 30 days.
