§ 11931 Housecar Warranty Disclosure

This law says that when you buy a new RV (like a motorhome), the seller must give you a list of all the warranties that come with it. You and the seller both have to sign this list to confirm you got everything.

Key Takeaways

  • •When you buy a new RV, the seller must give you a list of all warranties.
  • •You and the seller must sign the list to confirm you got everything.
  • •If the seller doesn’t follow this rule, they can get a small fine (like a ticket).

Example

You buy a brand-new motorhome from a dealer.

The dealer must give you a list of all the warranties (like for the engine, fridge, or roof) and a copy of each one. You sign to say you got them, and the dealer signs to say the list is complete. If they don’t do this, they can get in trouble.
