§ 90971 Annexation Election Notice Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •Before an area can join a district, people must be told about it.
  • •The notice can either say where to find the full rules or include all the rules in the notice.
  • •The notice must be easy for everyone to see or read.

Example

A small town wants to join a nearby school district.

The school district must put up a notice in the newspaper or online. This notice can either say where people can go to read all the rules about joining or list all the rules right there in the notice. This way, everyone knows what’s happening and what the rules are.
