§ 90050 San Diego Transit District Boundaries

Key Takeaways

  • •This law creates a special district that includes certain cities in San Diego County and nearby areas that use the San Diego Transit System.
  • •The district is split into two parts: one part is just the City of San Diego, and the other part includes the cities of Coronado, Imperial Beach, Chula Vista, National City, El Cajon, and La Mesa, plus any nearby areas not part of a city but still using the transit system.
  • •The county leaders can add more areas to the district if they are next to these cities and use the transit system.

Example

If you live in a neighborhood near Chula Vista that isn’t officially part of any city but uses the San Diego buses, the county leaders can decide to include your neighborhood in this special district.

This means your area would be part of the second section of the district, along with cities like Chula Vista and National City, because you use the same transit system and are close to these cities.
