§ 556 Passenger Transfer Between Carriers

• •Bus and train companies must help passengers switch between their lines and other companies' lines fairly.
• •They can't charge more or give worse service to passengers just because they're switching to another company's line.
• •They have to do this quickly and without playing favorites.

You take a bus from Company A, but need to switch to a train from Company B to finish your trip.

Company A must let you switch to Company B's train easily, without charging you extra or making you wait longer just because it's a different company. They have to treat you the same as someone staying on their own bus.
