§ 30215 City Committee Quorum Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •More than half of the city selection committee members must be present to make official decisions.
  • •If not enough members show up, they can't vote or make choices.
  • •This rule makes sure big decisions aren't made by just a few people.

Example

A city selection committee has 10 members. They need to pick a new park location.

At least 6 members (more than half) must be at the meeting to vote. If only 5 show up, they can't decide—they have to wait for another meeting.
