§ 29155 Public Hearing Timeline

Key Takeaways

  • •The local government must hold a public meeting to talk about the reports they got.
  • •The meeting must happen between 30 to 60 days after they receive the reports.
  • •Everyone gets a chance to speak or listen at this meeting.

Example

Your town gets a report about building a new park.

The town leaders must set up a meeting within 1-2 months to let people talk about the park plan. They can't decide right away or wait too long.
