§ 26424 District Boundary Agreement Hearing

Key Takeaways

  • •If you don't speak up in writing against a plan to change district boundaries, it means you agree with it.
  • •The board will listen to all complaints about the plan before deciding.
  • •If you don’t say anything, they’ll assume you’re okay with the changes.

Example

Your neighborhood is part of a school district, and the board wants to change the boundaries so your kids go to a different school.

If you don’t write a letter saying you don’t like the change, the board will think you’re fine with it and go ahead.
