§ 22226 Airport District Formation Process

If after the hearing the board of supervisors of each affected county determines that the district should be formed, each board, by resolution entered on its minutes, shall: (a) Define and describe the boundaries of the district or otherwise designate its territorial extent. (b) State the name of the district, which shall contain the words “____________________ airport district.” (c) Call an election in the county, or portion thereof within the district, for the purpose of determining whether the district shall be formed and to elect a board of five directors for the district if formed. (d) Fix the date of the election and the hours the polls will be open. (e) Establish election precincts and designate polling places for the election. (f) Appoint the election officers.
