§ 16804 Utility Cost And Revenue Estimates

Key Takeaways

  • •Before starting a big project (like building a water or power system), the board must figure out how much it will cost.
  • •They also need to guess how much money the project will make after it's done.
  • •This helps them decide if the project is a good idea or not.

Example

A small town wants to build a new water system for clean drinking water.

The town leaders must first find out how much it will cost to build the whole system and how much money they’ll get from people paying water bills. This helps them see if they can afford it.
