§ 16112 Board Appointment Of Officers

Key Takeaways

  • •The board of directors picks other officers (like managers or leaders) for the group.
  • •These officers can be fired anytime by the board if they want.
  • •The board decides how much these officers get paid.
  • •The officers must do what the board tells them to do, and they might have to promise (with a bond) to do their job well.

Example

Imagine a school club where the president (like the board) picks a vice president (an officer).

The president can decide how much the vice president gets paid (maybe in snacks or points) and can fire them if they don’t do a good job. The vice president has to do what the president says, like organizing events.
