§ 120451 Transit Facility Violations

Violation of any ordinance, rule, or regulation enacted by the board prohibiting unauthorized operation or manipulation of transit facilities owned, controlled, or used by the board, or prohibiting unauthorized tampering or interference with, or loitering in or about, transit facilities owned, controlled, or used by the board, including, but not limited to, transit centers, rail stations, bus shelters, and bus stops on public and private property, is an infraction punishable by a fine not exceeding fifty dollars ($50), except that such a violation by a person, after the first conviction under this section, is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500) or by imprisonment not exceeding six months, or by both that fine and imprisonment. (Amended by Stats. 2000, Ch. 1035, Sec. 2.6. Effective January 1, 2001.)
