§ 120263 Guideway Development Priorities

Key Takeaways

  • •Big roads or train tracks for lots of people should come first.
  • •If they want to build something just for one place (like a mall or stadium), they need special permission.
  • •They can't use highway money for these special projects without asking first.

Example

A city wants to build a train that only goes to the big sports stadium.

They can't just use road money for this train. They have to ask the California Transportation Commission first because the train is only for one place, not for everyone.
