§ 105335 District Resolution Filing Requirements

This law says the board has to send an official copy of any resolution to the Secretary of State and also file it with the county recorder’s office in every county where the district is located.

Key Takeaways

  • •The board must file a certified copy of every resolution.
  • •The copy goes to the Secretary of State and to the county recorder’s office.
  • •It must be filed in every county (Marin, Sonoma, and any other county) that contains part of the district.

Example

A school district in Marin County adopts a new rule about after‑school programs.

The board must mail a certified copy of that rule to the Secretary of State and then drop a copy at the Marin County recorder’s office (and at Sonoma County or any other county the district covers) so the public can see it.
