§ 102260 District Transit Plan Requirements

This law requires the district to create and keep a general transit plan, and it allows the district to choose one of its other required transit plans to serve as that general plan.

Key Takeaways

  • •The district must adopt and maintain a general transit plan.
  • •It can designate one of its other required transit plans as the general plan.
  • •The chosen plan must be kept up to date and followed.

Example

The district already has to prepare separate plans for bus routes and bike lanes.

The district can pick the bus routes plan as its official general transit plan instead of creating a brand‑new one.
