§ 102161 Public Agency Service Contracts

This law lets cities, counties, or other government groups hire out their lawyers, money managers, or treasurers to help a district with their work.

Key Takeaways

  • •Government groups can share their experts (like lawyers or money people) with other districts.
  • •This helps smaller places get the help they need without hiring new people.
  • •The deal has to be agreed upon by both sides.

Example

A small town needs legal help but doesn't have its own lawyer.

The town can make a deal with a nearby city to use their lawyer for a little while.
