§ 102026 Participating Entity Definition

This law defines what a "participating entity" is: a city or county that has an agreement with the district, and it only counts as a participating entity while that agreement is active. All such cities and counties are called "participating entities."

Key Takeaways

  • •Only cities or counties with an active agreement with the district are participating entities.
  • •They remain participating entities only while the agreement is in effect.
  • •"Participating entities" refers to all cities and counties that meet this condition.

Example

The city of Riverside signs a service agreement with the regional water district.

Because Riverside has an active agreement with the district, it is a participating entity during the agreement's term, and it is included among the participating entities.
