§ 10014 Local Agency Technical Assistance

This law lets the commission hire a local agency to get technical help needed to follow Section 10013, as long as the contract says the commission will be paid back for its reasonable costs.

Key Takeaways

  • •The commission can make a contract with a local agency.
  • •The contract must be for technical assistance needed to follow Section 10013.
  • •The contract must include a clause that the commission will be reimbursed for its reasonable costs.

Example

The commission needs help setting up a new computer system to meet the requirements of Section 10013, so it signs a contract with the city’s IT department.

Because the contract says the city will reimburse the commission for the reasonable costs of the help, the commission can get the technical assistance it needs.
